Torch repairs
Sometimes the burner may malfunction in various ways. For example, there may be no spark in the system. In this case, there is a problem with your ignition system. To make repairs, you need to check and fix the following:
1) Check the wire connections. If the connections are disconnected or loose, you must fix it.
2) The nozzle of the spark plug nozzle, the spark plug filter, or the air pipe filter have been clogged and deposited. In this case, it is enough to clean the relevant duct with a little care and patience. However, sedimentation or clogging may be related to the tip of the spark electrode, which can be easily cleaned.
3) The piezoelectric lighter or the electrode itself may be damaged or broken. In this case, just replace them.
The second case is the case where the spark is created but the candle is not lit. In such cases, it is enough:
1) Don't forget to check the thermocouple. The main problem may be with the system's thermocouple. In this case, it is necessary to test the thermocouple connections and replace the thermocouple if it does not respond.
2) Check the magnetic and butterfly valves.
The third most common condition is when the burner does not turn on when the hot water is turned on.
1) The first step is to check the health and openness of the gas valves and so on.
2) The second case is the study of heat exchanger pipes and water heater diaphragm. Also check the correctness of the diaphragm if you do not see a blockage in the pipes.
Water leakage repairs
1) The most important component that can be involved in water leakage is the system's heat exchanger. Check the converter itself, the heat transfer fluid pipes, and all the connections, washers, and nuts for the heat exchanger and water regulator, and fix any defects.
Gas leak repairs
Gas leaks can lead to irreparable risks and damages. Therefore, if you see such a disorder, you need to fix it immediately, and if you fail to prevent a leak, get help from a professional repairman.
1) The first thing to check is all the screws for the water heater gas supply system. Check the regulator screws, gas air screws, multi-way gas screws, or screw nuts and spark plugs, and tighten or replace if you see any defects.
2) The second case is to check the health of the gas regulator. Check it and replace it immediately if you see any defects or holes in the regulator body.
3) Damage and wear and tear of all gaskets and o-rings used in the system can cause gas leaks. Check all of them and replace if necessary.
4) The valves or hoses used may be damaged. Test them and replace if necessary.
